AOL is probably the best with no cut off but then you have to use there software which then takes your PC hostage and only a re-format will ever get rid of it.
I think it's about time they pushed broadband and reduced the cost (£40 a month is to much BT) i also think the cable company's should extend there coverage.
The console makers are all talking about online gaming but it's not gunna be possible with 56k access which has it's limits.
Maybe the console makers should set up a gaming broadband service of some sort that can be avalible to everyone.
There always telling us how great broadband is but there not pushing it so that it's in the reach of everyone.
Maybe one day we all we have broadband connections but it's still years away unless someone does something about it.
Basically, they are

So they should hand over everything free of charge, even though they've spent millions providing and maintaining it?
And other companies should be able to use space for racks in their buildings free of charge?
The trouble is we all want something for nothing.
You want a better service, you pay for it. It's the way of the world.
Unfortunately thanks to BT and the "local Loop", BT have

I knew I should have bought some shares in BT

There's a distinct lack of cable companies in the UK... NTL are on hte verge of bankrupcy (23million in debt) and all the other's are local to certain areas...

A-ha - Sony are in the process of securing this in the UK and running trails in Manchester I beleive. Rumor has it too that NTL may be bought out by either AOL/Time Warner or Microsoft?

Satalite isn't that great, it has bad lag times and isn't all that cheap as you have to use a phone line aswell unless you want to spend loads on a two way dish system.
i think cable is the way to go providing they don't overload it like they have with 56k access.
ADSL is nice as you can still use your phone but cable normaly give you 2 lines anyway at no extra cost. i think bt are charging to much for broadband compared to cable providers at the moment.
Maybe its because everyone has moved to Anytime. BT tried to get me to move by sending a letter saying its only something like £2 more for Anytime. I'm not budging though, from what I've heard of anytime.
I'll be the last person on Surftime, and they'll have to force me to move.
£40 gets me, a phone line, cable TV with all the channels except the sport and movie channels and 512k modem.
Ha ha ha (until they twig)
