Bah, I think people will have been injured. That fun fair was pretty darn packed, and on a weekday, that entertainment bar/arcades (believed to have started the fire) is always jam packed.

Shush. Whoopdeedoo if Brighton is the gay/lesbian town. For an actual fact, I went to the gay and lesbian festival down there, and I can proudly say it rocked. The atmosphere was calm, no trouble from the non-gays/lesbians.
Exactly what I was going to say.
Basically, as long as no one gets hurt, there are worse things to worry about.
