I wonder if you actually saw the events that day live on tv ? I sat down to dinner as the story bout the first tower being hit came on air, then later as the second tower was hit, and when the buildings collapsed. Anyone watching saw people throwing themselves from those towers, I remember when original estimates were coming in at 20 000 dead. I watched this from the UK, but every time I see an image of the WTC I remember that day and what I saw - for someone directly affected or who was there it must be so so much worse.
We should remember that day, but seeing the WTC in games and movies isnt the way to do it. If anyone puts such insignificant things as games before the people who died that day then they need to really think about that. If they feel it is a waste of time... then I've nothing to say, they have their own conscience I guess.

It still will be. As any sad comics fan, such as myself knows :), spiderman is returning to the cinema in Summer 2002 in the US followed by a predicted July/August release in this country. They've re edited and shot new scenes so as not to offend anyone or disrespect those who died on 9/11. The producers even auctioned off some props and stuff for charities in America last December.
And I think in MGS2 Metal Gear Ray was schedulaed to knock down the twin towers, but obviously it as removed.

I think most people want to forget about the events of september 11th. This couldn't be done if everytime they went into a games shop they had a reminder, the shelves only being stocked up with nice and fluffy games.
Maybe developers will think a bit more about what they include in their games, but I don't think there will be any major changes.
