Comes out on Monday right?

Also, its the best film ever.

Ok, now on to the point of the topic;

Do any of you film geeks out there know if there is an option on the DVD to watch the film with the scenes in chronological order rather than the backward way they are originally put together?

Its just I heard a rumour, thought it might just be wishful thinking.

Anyone?

Tarrant, i have seen Memento. And i got it first time around. But i have no desire to see the film in a straight forward order. The whole idea of memento is to be stuck in Pierce's character's mind. That is why we see bits of the past chucked in at the end, bits of the future at the beginning, bits of the beginning and end in the middle. And obviously the end right at the beginning.

So who's a gimp now?

Yes but if you've seen the film already, you're not confused are you, unless you're a gimp? (Take that as you will)

The back-to-front/right-way-round Memento extra has already been out on R2 DVD... unfortunately it was the French release, which for some reason was ages ago.

Anyway, I'm not sure it's a good idea at all, but at least it MAY clear thoughts from people's minds that the film only works because of it's "quirk".

What would be the point of watching Memento in order anyway? The order of the film is what makes it so unique. The idea of being just as confused as the main character adds to the experience. And that is all that Memento is...an experience.

It is a good film though. If you liked that and you like Silence of the lambs, then i suggest Ravenous. Another Guy Pierce film.. its great!

This forum seems to love Arlington Road at the moment. It was Requiem about a week ago. I remember similiar patchs for Mallrats and Lord of the Rings. :-D

Nope. I just discovered from amazon's film guide that the memento mori feature plays the film in chronological order. Oh no wait. The amazon pleb got it wrong, apparently there's a hidden feature called end of the beginning that lets you watch the film the right way round, or should that be the wrong way round? Oh and the menu is supposedly a mindfunk to navigate. But that's according to amazon monkey.

Anyway.. mine comes in the post tomorrow. Then I'm still awaiting Battle Royale, which I'm very looking forward to, the Groundhog Day collectors Edition DVD, which will be amazing, and Heathers, which is only £7.99...
