If the Xbox has an 8GB Harddrive then why do you still need a memory card? The only thing I can think of is so you can save to the card and go to some one else’s Xbox to use there. However the memory card should be optional and you should be able to save on to the Harddrive. So why can you not do this? Is it just because microsoft want another £30 from every one or is there a good reason?

I think that your right in saying the memory card is only to share data with mates. Iam sure that all X-boxs games use the HDD.
