What games do you have in your collection? How varied are your tastes and how have they changed over the years. You’ll see from my collection that I became mostly an RPG player after the purchase of my PSX. And before anyone says it, yes I know it’s sad for a girl to have so many games, but hey it’s my hobby and I collect them. (And if you’re wondering why I have them all written down, well it’s for insurance purposes). You’ll also notice that in the early days of the Master system etc, that I didn’t have many games, this is because I was only little and couldn’t buy them myself so had to wait and pray that I got them as presents. But once I got a job, the collection really took off.

I'm gonna get Wild Arms 3. Most places are selling it cheap, which is the good thing about the PAL releases of those non-FF RPGs - they always sell cheap.

To be honest, I've not had much experience of RPGs outside FF apart from a few on the NES. I sooo need a job, then I'll start doing the game thing properly.
I can only afford the games I know'll be good and keep me busy, and not risk anything. I haven't got enough money for that.

*Sigh*

Night then.

Konami said that they wouldn't release Suikoden III because they couldn't afford the time or the money to translate it into 5 different languages, for a european release and that it wouldn't be fair for the rest of Europe to only release an English language version. So now nobody gets it. *if I ever meet the person that made that decision, I'm going to give him/her a good slap.

And talking about only getting half a series, what about Wild Arms?
We get Wild Arms 1 in this country (even though it was hard to find), then they decide not to release Wild Arms 2, but then release (on Friday) Wild Arms 3. Where is the sense in that. Lets release No.1 and 3 in the UK, but lets keep them guessing as to what happened in the middle.

Its just not easy being an RPGer in the country.

It's always RPGs as well, isn't it?
Always.

Could they not be bothered with all the text / speech tranlasion or something? That's just plain lazy. Most of the time it's just a PAL conversion from the American version, which is even worse.
And when it does happen, like you said, you get half the series - usually the last half, so you don't have a clue what's going on.

Grrrrrrr.

I'm sure we could go on like this for the whole night (how many times have I said that : )).

It makes me sooo mad.

At least we should be getting a PAL version of Xenosaga, if they don't decide to cancel it like Konami canceled the PAL release of Suikoden III. That is just not fair I love Suikoden I and II and now I can't play the third installment. I can't even import it because it won't work with any of the PS2 mod-chips.

It's just not fair, we always miss out on the good games, because 'they' think we wouldn't be interested.

Oh it is brilliant, I really can't recommend it enough. It is by Squaresoft, the same people that did the Final Fantasy’s and it is on par if not better then any of them. The problem is that it is not available in this country so if you want it, you have to get it on import. You can find it on videogameimports.com for around £40 and although that is a bit expensive for a PSX game, it is well worth it. Of course you will need a chipped PSX to play it, or a special boot disc called PSX-Exchange, which will run the game without a chip. The only problem is you can’t use the disc to play it on a PS2.

Actually there is nothing clever about it. It is not my real name its just one of many that I use for forums. It is the name of a character from one of my all time favorite RPG's, Xenogears. *patiently waiting for Xenosaga, oh when will they state a release date!*

Here's an unrelated question (or should I say 'spam'?) that's popped into my head a few time, mostly after seeing everyone spell your name wrong.

Is your actual name Emeralda, or is that a clever twist on the name Esmerelda? Or is your real name completely unrelated, but 'Emerald' is a cool word?

Thank you, to everyone who has said sorry. Of course there really isn't any reason for you to apologise as everyone is entitled to there own opinions. I will not hold the fact that you didn’t like my tread against you. I guess it was kind of my own fault for not explaining the meaning of the post properly before I went and posted my own list. I’ll put this one down to a misunderstanding and hope there are no hard feelings.
