On this Planet, you will die...

Blah, Blah, Blah-Blah, and the sacred Blah...

Three companies...

Only one will prevail?

You own the spice, and they want it off you!

On one side, we have the Evil Sony.

The monolithic Sony bent the rules by having a very important head start, already they've capture much territory, so many are working for them and they've got the most cunning promotional Barons, ensuring that everyone exchanges their spice for the Sony machine...

On the other side, arrive the Insidious Microsoft.

Not satisfied with taking over an entire galaxy, Microsoft want in on your world, rumour has it that they're so sure of themselves, that they will take the spice away from Sony and command the most territory, so why is it they have saboteur hypnotists running all over the planet?

On the final side, arrive the Noble Nintendo.

After 3 years of insane laughter in the Pokemon Solar System, Nintendo climbed their way out of a world made up of Yen and Dollar notes, and are now launching their bid on you world. They want your spice; they're completely mad, but strangely alluring...

The weaponry...

Sony's monumental development has already made a huge dent on the planet, the majority of their followers so far seem content, but could they be hiding their spice, and waiting for one of the new arrivals? 'PlayStation 2', an immensely powerful weapon, something Sony will fight with till the death if it has to, but word on the street is that there's something else up Baron Sony's sleeve, and it ends in the number '3'...

Microsoft, lead by the half machine, half human, half something else - he's a bigger man than all of us, and likes to give 50% more than the rest...Cyborg Gates is almost ready to unleash what is said to be the most awesome weapon of all time, rumours of it being organic/cyborgenetic have been extinguished, but this machine from the man who owns Krasching Win Dows Galaxy, is looking like it could very well soak up your spice...behold their "X Box"...

An air of mystery surrounds the landing site for Nintendo, as nobody knows when they'll arrive, although it seems they could use they optical technology to get a look in before Microsoft sink their roots into the ground. Once codenamed Dolphin, Nintendo realised that this would be far too tranquil, and opted for a Cube shaped machine - I guess it would hurt more if it landed on you? Behind their insane design and approach, the Cube from Killers of Piracy in Gaming may well be something else...

And what the weapons fire?

Sony have already left their mark, and we've had some amazing hits so far, too many too name, although at first arrival, Sony wasn't performing too well, but then there was nothing to compare to (after a supposed cover up operation, after something that may have been called 'Dreamcast' was destroyed and buried). Sony will want their skyrocket "MGS2" to be fired soon, according to widespread belief. Sony will undoubtedly be having plenty more sure-fire hits, but they should really be on their toes, because...

Microsoft has everything fired forward - this wealthy parade has invested heavily in several hybrids that seem like they're going to make incredible impacts on your planet. Most notably, Gates will be firing "Halo" on arrival, and it will be an incredible shot...being the richest of the three, Microsoft have 'invested' in a vast range of smaller teams, that will be working closely for them, all of which will be producing, for 'X Box' to fire...

However, the noble Nintendo, parading founders of the goldmine pokemon, have plenty ready to launch, although we still have no idea when... After some sneaky researching, they've found out that the spice holders have all have a common affection for 'monkey', and 'balls', and so Super Monkey Ball will be launched as soon as Nintendo bring their Cube down for launch, it looks like they'll be staying in Mansion too...

Will all prevail?

It's down to you :)

Thanks for reading

The book is excellant - far better than the film.

There's another 5 books that follow. They get progressively worse until the last one, which is fantastic.

Not that that's relevant in any way, but no-one had mentioned them yet. Maybe it's 'cos we're all techies, and don't believe in reading things unless they're on a screen.

Well thank you Slave2games.

I guess it's a post that can't really start much discussion, but I thought it might be, hoped some people might like it.

Excellent - Dune is a classic film, there have been some top games based on it, so why not create a console conflict based on it too.

I haven't actually seen Dune, but I know the basics of the story.

It certainly raised a smile to my face on a number of occasions.
