I played this game today!
It's actually a pretty wicked game! Not really surprising for a Final Fantasy game though!
It uses voice actors for a change this time round. Well the none main characters still have text for the speech, but for the cut scenes ect, it is full speech. From what I played of the game, the voice acting wasn't that bad.
As for the graphics of this game. They are SWEETY! There's been a lot of time spent on the graphics, and it shows. They obviously didn't spend too much time on the clothes for the female character mind, cos it was a bit scarce! :D
They have decided to use the summons a bit better this time round. When you summon a (thing) you can then control it, instead of it just doing one move and then going. This is better I felt, cos the long summon animations use to get annoying after a while.
Has anyone else played this game?

I said spent less time on the female clothes due to the fact that there quite reveiling!

Thats even better than better graphics. Im going to get this game as I dont even own the PS2 version, the same with games like Max Payne, Soul Calibur etc no PS2 versoin but I'll get the xbox version even though I will have to wait very long.

Well if you like Silent Hill 2 you have to get an X-Box then. As Silent Hill 2 on the X-Box has an extra mode which should add anohter 4-6 hours of game play. In this mode you get to play as Maria.
It would be good to get just the English version of FF10. But its an extra cost for Square to actually release different European versions.
I aint getting the PS2 HDD coz in my case its a waste of money as im thinking of getting an xbox instead which is just £100 more than the estimated price which looks like the most likely price charged (£199.99).
And already all xbox games are using this feature which makes the games better in fact ign says that Max Payne looks much better on the xbox than on the playstation 2 and so will games coming out on all of the three next generation consoles.
I dont know about you guys but I cant stay thinking that theres a better version of a game out there and have to keep on playing with an inferior version.

I was really talking about FFX, but it works for FFXI too. Must be a good idea then :)

I was really talking about FFX, but it works for FFXI too. Must be a good idea then :)

Well thats what I heard. The HDD should get released near too or before FF10 is released. But knowing what the UK is like we probably wont get the HDD until christmas, and by then we would have completed FF10.

I suppose they should release just and English version, just a French version e.t.c. As its an online game the talking to the other people will need to be only one language. If they released versions for a certain language they could impose restrictions to other languages from entering that game. So only english players could play agaisnt other english players. They could also include a language changer which changes the languages into other languages, so the French see what we type in, in English but they see it in French.

I reckon they should release a just-English version of the game, so that we don't have to wait for all the European languages to be done. It could have ENGLISH VERSION plastered all over it, to avoid confusion. And all the European countries could have the same treatment - their version comes out when they language has been done, starting with the biggest countries (but we'd be first because they wouldn't need to translate from the US version). Then when all the languages have been done put out an all language version.
