So, 96 was the turning point- the argument becomes hazy here, as I never bought FIFA 97 or 98. I have been told that they were quite good to very good (from a biased source) and I have also been told that they were, and are, utter dump(from another biased source). Now, I have an inkling that 97 was pap, but something tells me 98 was slightly better. It doesn’t matter, though because ISS PRO and Pro 98 rode high at the time. No-one could stand in their way, not FIFA, not Actua Soccer and certainly not Adidas Predator Soccer.
Times stayed relatively golden for Konami, and they have right up until the present day.
I myself lost interest in the whole argument way back in 99. I couldn’t give a toss which is better anymore. I do know that finally EA have gotten their act together with FIFA 2003, making it a bit more similar to ISS with regards to the controls, and the option to play arcade or simulation mode. Does it live up to the standard set by the mighty Pro Evolution Soccer 2?
I’d value any opinions.
*Huge sigh of anticipation*
International Superstar Soccer Pro Evolution (PSX)
If you dont agree, buy it and play it and then you will see.

(fiasco)
When the purple tangerine gets here you will all see the true champion of footy games hehehe.
I am the best at FIFA and ISS. it is official. (official, you understand, within my house. It probably wouldn't stand up alone in court.)
FIFA 2003 has a great number of problems still.
Pro Evo 2 is just really really unrealistic and annoying.
TIF 2003 is quite good at times, but sometimes, for some odd reason, it can be really hard to play.
ISS2 can be the best of the lot at times, but can be the worst at others. Depends what you're doing in it.
My favourite is Pro Evo 2, because Master League rocks.
TIF has a ball, it has players, it has a green football pitch and it has goal nets. It plays good too.
If you ask me, Sega Soccer Slam is better then them all.
Who wants to take me on?

Big up to Monkeh.
I would put all sorts of things in now that I've thought about it.
All the cheese in the world that's stronger than 'mild' for a start.
It's good.
I've enjoyed it alot.
