Gamecube confusion at all-time high
Web posted on 8/1/02 We've had September, July, April... now the latest word from Nintendo is that the Gamecube will be arriving in the UK a 'few weeks' after the start of February.





But what I want to know is, how long before release you do start getting stock in?

Surely if they plan to release in the next 6 weeks, you would start getting units shipped to you? Or do they leave it and do it all last minute?

I work on sales lines at SR, and at the moment nobody has a clue when Gamecube is going to be released! The origional date was May time, but that slipped till august.
The latest i was told was that it was gunna be Autumn this year, so thats a long wait!

And yes we will get lots in depending on how many Nintendo ship out prolly the fiirst batch will go on mail order purchases and only a few in the stores so i wouldnt bother cueing if i wear u, then again i wouldnt buy one of these machines!

I knew I shouldn't be working for Nintendo.. I told them i couldn't count... oh f...

Sorry, I can't spell very well today either.

I think that shops get their consoles in pretty near tot eh laucnh date - as in America Nintendo told shops to start selling their console as soon as they got them, as Microsoft's was launched 3 days earlier. So shops must get their consoles in a few days (if that) before.
