I read Plastic-Coated's so-called rant further down the list of topics and I'd like to point out a few things.
1. A 'rant' is usually an incoherent expression of rage, manifested through screaming, shouting and spitting on yourself and others.
2. What Plastic-Coated had produced was, in fact, nothing more than a well-written insight into the lack of origionality in games.
3. I either want a real rant posted, or the 5 minutes back that i took to read it.

I apologise for wasting a valuable 5 minutes of your time - Ihave learned a valuable lesson as to the meaning of the word rant. I always thought a rant was just someone droning on about something - which is what I did.

ranting can also mean extravagant speech or writing, it doesn't have to be violent, or aggressive.

I don't see that you're owed anything. A rant can quite easilly be an elongated piece of writing that simply points out its arguments at great length, which is, I believe the way Plastic's post was arranged.
Just because you have a personal definition of what a rant is, doesn't mean that everyone else should follow suit.
