But only the NTSC ones. For example, in Japan they are region 2 right? We are also region 2. But we use PAL, they use NTSC.
But, if like me you travel to America a fair bit (I have family there), then it is FAR cheaper to import..

also the GC might be out before I get back, so I'll probably get it then, will probably save the conversion and importing hassles.

errr... that's a huge contradiction... It plays ALL regions, except for non-NTSC ones... so in fact, it doesn't play all reagions as you say... eh?

I recently seen one on ebay which could play DVDs from all regions, and play US or JAP games.
Not nessecarily, you would get away with it as long as you put it in your

hmmm.. but they do spot checks...
wahahahahahahaha... like they could be bothered!

First, buy the console. A good importer will give you a scart cable to plug into your tele... so check you have a SCART plug (can someone remind me whether it has to be RGB enabled??), and that the TV supports 60Hz, NTSC signals.
Then you need a power converter... about £20.. sometimes it'll come with the console depending on the importer...
Now you have all you need...
OH! Just 2 things:
1) Don't leave the wall socket the console is plugged into on 24/7.... after a few days, depending whether the console uses a constant power source (oh, and I don't think the GC does, but just in case), the power converter (if poor quality) could cause the console fuse to fry... but having done lots of importing, this has never happened to me...
2) If you later want to play UK games, you can easily get your console chipped to play "imports" (well, domestics in this case), or mayeb even get an adaptor in the future
