OK. I've got a Nokia mobile phone with a Vodafone sim card. The phone has been in my draw for the best part of half a year and I have never used it. I don't think it was ever used before I owned it either. I bought some credit for it and am trying to top it up, but I keep getting "No Network Coverage". Fair enough, I expected this. So I phone Vodafone and explain the above. They say "Have you got the phone's number?", "No, how do I get the number?", "Dial *, #, 100, something, but you need Network Coverage". Wah? I need coverage to get the coverage that I don't have? That makes no sense to me. Anyone know how I can find the phone's number apropo texting people and wasting my student loan?

I've looked and I'm pretty sure it's not there. If I bought a new sim card, would that solve it?
Look through the menu stuff for something called "my numbers", and that should be yours.
