"GBA SP is..."

...good, but not great.

I played one today, and I could also have purchased it, but no-one was able to lend me £144.99 - ah well. :-D

Anyway, it's, as many people expected, rather hard to handle. It is just a little too small, and I'm sure if played for long stretches of time, there'll be some cases of sore hands. The buttons are in the correct places, however, and the D-pad especially feels great, but it's just the general shape of the thing that's a problem. Maybe it's just that I've got big hands, but maybe not - as my mate said it felt uncomfortable for him too. Not even half as bad as it could've been though.

And this backlit feature - yeah, it's good, and a lot easier to see the game properly, and I could actually tell if the console was actually on when playing Doom, though, so that's good. The problem is, it drains out a lot of the battery when you're using this feature, and you'll have to spend more time recharging, which can be annoying, but at least we can now see the screen in proper colour. Good stuff.

So basically, if you've not got a GBA, then get this when it comes out, but if you've already got a GBA, then there really isn't much point here.

Overall, an improvement, but if you've got the GBA, don't bother.

It takes alot to have 'the' at the start of your name. But I think it'll look good on Cube-Europe. Or maybe some one off changes when you're feeling big headed about something.

Wow I'm The Dringo... maybe I should change my name to The Dringo... or perhaps just ask Jav to change my name at cube-europe to The Dringo so people at SR know its me :D

Silver? oh the GBA SP. Don't forget the flip down screen protects the screen from damage... my screens always get damaged.

What the Dringo says is true, it will save money on batteries (which I hate). I'm getting one when it comes out, I won't use it much but it'll feel good to know I've got another cool small Silver thing which fits in my Pocket.

I'll get the SP eventually... because it looks so damn nifty and fine (no need for carry case, batteries etc... will also save me money) but not when its released (unless i get a massive bonus) afterall I want a DVD player.

Anyone know where I can get a dirt cheap multi-region dvd player from?

lol, i got £95.00 for mine fitted with afterburner and 2 Original GB games...on eBay of course

I bought a PGB just for pokemon and I was on that for hours.

I think I'll get this new GBA for a new pokemon and Zelda/Mario games. Damn I haven't played a pokemon game since Pokemon Blue, I bet there's loads of new things I need to learn, argh.
