I had that 'problem' too. Didn't know what was going on seeing as I don't usually register in phpbb forums.
Also, when I clicked 'register', it went to an error page. I can't remember what it said but I clicked Back and it was fine...??

right thats a problem that is easily sorted but im not at home at the moment, all you need to do is log in and when you get to the lycos page don't press the back button, you have to link to it as you would if you were going to the site then you are logged in, it is a problem that is known and has a fix.
