Today I spoke to the editor of PSI2 magazine, just before Xmas they bought a Zoom modem (after spending half a day locating any of the suggested modems anywhere in the UK).
It works fine and costed £37 plus £10 P&P, quite cheap eh !
Today I phoned their supplier to discover the modem has now gone upto £55 plus P&P.
Do you smell a rat ?? or is it just coincidence ??
I won't name the retailer, yes I will it is procom-gb.com, I'm sure SR won't mind me mentioning another company due to the circumstances.
Has anyone else had anymore joy on the modem front ?
1. It will be cheaper
2. It will be fully compatible and hvae decent tech support.
Counting the days
I appreciate that the issue may be more 'PS2 compatible' rather than THPS3 compatible but it would be pretty annoying to get a USB modem that ONLY works with THPS3.
I'm presuming that the official Sony release will be guaranteed to work with all titles.
Methinks the UK gamers have been duped!
All the modems I have tried seem to be under powered, almost as if the PS2 USB socket doesn't put out enough wattage to get the modem going
I will not give up, I will find an inexpensive external USB modem that works with a PS2.
As soon as I have I will be back with details
Must get online.......must get online.......must get online......
