Remember this. Three months from the the last Spoof Off will be another wonderful way to win spoof credit. If you even like spoofs try doing one in this compo. It's really fun.

The last Spoof Off was a great day and I thought that I could make a SR tradition to have a Spoof Off every three months. Muahahaha. Those who that don't like spoofs should have shocked faces right now.

December's winner was Madatare(not El Blokey) so all of us who lost that faithfull day have a chance for revenge. Especially you El Blokey. I copied and pasted the rules from last time and remodeled them a little.

There will be a spoof competition on March 23, 2003 called the
SPOOF OFF. If you win you will of course get a GAD, well earned
respect, and the fact that you are one of the best spoofers around.

To win you must submit a spoof on the 23rd and wait until the staffies
announce the GAD winners for that day. If it is a person's spoof, they
win. If NO spoof wins for that day, meaning another kind of topic wins
there will be no winner to the SPOOF OFF and we have to face it that
we aren't very good at spoofing.

Posting a spoof on Mar. 23rd will automatically enter you into the
SPOOF OFF.

I don't really reccomend people to post GAD attempts besides spoofs on
the 23rd because you will most likely be better off posting it the
next day due to the amount of spoofs coming on the 23rd.

Me and some forum members thought up some rules though...

RULES
1. ANYBOBY can join the spoof contest. There is no member that can't
try to win for the best spoof even if they are annoying and/or bad.

2. You can only submit ONE spoof! If you make more than one just to
raise your chances of winning you will be cheating. If you do win by
GAD for the 23rd for cheating by raising our chances like this we
will
all say "BOO, you are a cheater, BOO!". There is no point in
cheating!!

3. Don't criticize someone's spoof just to make yours look good!

4. Comments on anybody's spoof can be said in this thread. It's
recommended even.

5. Have fun!

It's commonly accepted knowledge. Spoofs are stories with SR characters in (eg Spam Hard, The SR Office, 0069).

Can you vouch on this?
Spoofs have never had to have SR members in it

Cid, in the sense of spoof used on SR it means a funny twist using SR people. I'm not saying it wasn't a great post, just that it wasn't really part of the Spoof Off.

Lol I doubt it but if we are good enough and flood the forums with spoofs one of our spoofs almost has to win :D

can a staffie vouch on this GAD winning event?

It was basicaly a spoof of the anime series Martian Successor Nadesico (or Mobile Battle ship Nadesico as it is called in some other parts of the world). That gave the basic concept for the characters and some events. The fisrt episode done by mandatare and I was based very loosly on the first episode of Nadesico.

Force of habit. Sometimes people post inbetween when my and the target posts were made.
