I find it funny when after Jill has got the rocket launcher and the zombie barges into the dining room. Barry says 'I'll take care of this.' And takes it out with a handgun (powerful mind you) while Jill is standing there equiped with a rocket launcher. Crazy!

But hey at least the hunters are back from the original. They are a right pain when they continually jump your shots (before taking off your head in one go some of the time). I wonder if Tofu comes back from Resident Evil 2? (perhaps next time with more than a knife).

Even though Jill is not meant to have the rocket launcher I still find it quite amusing.
Who's been bothered though to complete Chris advanced in under 3hrs? FINALLY he gets to keep some decent hardware throughout the game.
P.S. "Hope this is not Chris's blood." (in a Barry-ish way).
And another thing. That irritating Brad who left everyone behind at the mansion and took long enough to drop a rocket launcher. Fortunately in some ways got free facial surgery by the resident Nemisis before becoming a zombie-hopefully people have killed him every time after the 1st time of Resident Evil 2.

Maybe Jill and Chris can shoot better than Barry.
Maybe the zombie had super strength after munching on Kenneth.
Maybe Barry's gun is old or needs cleaning.
Maybe Barry knew everything before hand (from Wesker) and hesitated pulling the trigger.
OR maybe the developers just wanted to build "suspense"

see so many explanations ;-)

Trust me...it's a Colt Python. It takes 3 shots in the cut-scene otherwise it wouldn't be much of a cut-scnen, now would it??

That's what I sometimes think but a magnum (colt python whatever can take out a zombie in one shot. The number of shots fired (3 ish) is very similar to the handgun used by Chris and Jill in the advanced level of Resident Evil Director's Cut.
