Will Xbox live work on a 128kbps broadband connection? I was wondering because the prices of high speed are extremely high and i would prefer not to spend 30 quid a month on 600kbps connection. If any of you would be able to tell me a less-than-20-quid broadband connection id appreciate it.

I got rid of the rubbish Sky Movies channels, and paid a little extra for Broadband.

Christ, Sky Movies is a complete and utter rubbish. You might as well rent a few movies a month for the same price, if you REALLY want to...

Couldn't agree more, Tom. £120 a year - and I hardly watch any.

Actually it will work with 128k broadband, but u can only have a maximum of 4-6 people in a UC, which is really not worth it.

'ang on a sec. The Xbox Live FAQ says 128k will work with Xbox Live!

Here's the chuck of text " high-speed Internet service: Provides Internet service at speeds much faster than dial-up modems.

Note Dial-up (ISDN) is supported by Xbox Live. The most common types of high-speed Internet service use cable "

So then 128k will work? That is what ISDN is, right?

Liar. You can use XBox Live on 128kbps broadband. Just check the Official XBox site http://www.xbox.com/uk

Cant find anything on the site saying 128K works. It may but just be warned that you will get limited games due to the lower bandwidth. Hosting games will probably be a issue with only a small number(3 of 4) of players being able to connect to you without lag.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
