Well, as of late the forums have been invaded by a creature whose very existence threatens people's enjoyment of games, and the forums themselves.
Fanboys are everywhere. How do we spot them ?
*The Fanboy thinks he knows everything, and hammers this knowledge into all who oppose him. Should you disagree then you are simply proving your own stupidity.
*The Fanboy loves to argue, he'll argue over which system is better, which developer is better, and the best controller size. He will argue to infinity, even if he does secretly agree with you.
*The Fanboy has an unhealthy allegiance to one console brand. He will NEVER buy any other brand, were he to do so his Fanboy friends would hunt him down, and his enemies would forever laugh at him.
*The Fanboy will often be found in game-stores across the world. He is the bane of sales assistants and waffles unceasingly at them. Then he leaves, logs onto an internet forum, and finds a new audience for his rantings.
Okay, so here's the killer thing, are YOU an unknowing Fanboy, of failing to recognise what you are ?
Take this test !
1.Do you own just one games system ?
If YES go to 2. If NO go to 3.
2.Do you verbally attack any advert you see on tv or elsewhere for an "enemy" console you do not own ?
If YES go to 4. If NO go to 5.
3. Do you love all your systems equally ?

4. Do you spend more than 10 hours a week posting forum messages ?
If YES go to 7. If NO go to 8.
5. When people ask why you prefer one system can you give a better reason than "the others are crap" ?

6. You, my friend, are a mere civlian, or a normal gamer here to have fun, congrats.
7. Do you learn off by heart every detail about new systems and AAA games months in advance of their actual release ?
If YES go to 10. If NO go to 11.
8. Do you spend time on forums for systems you do not own, just to declare "the game sucks!!!, cr*p conzole!!!111" ?
If YES go to 11. If NO go to 9.
9. Do you feel a heady excitement build when a new must have game turns out to be exclusive to your beloved console ?

10. Do you go to games-stores even when you have no money, and know nothing decent has come out ?

11. You are an irritating, and irrational, Fanboy. Your arguments have warped logic and make no rational sense. This flaw means your arguments are battered down by more sensible gamers.
12. Have you ever convinced someone to buy a console that, until you started talking to them, they were against buying ?
If YES go to 15. If NO go to 14.
13. Do the people who work there know your name ?
If YES go to 15. If NO go to 14.
14. You are an apprentice Fanboy. The fire of righteousness burns bright in you, but you lack the total knowledge needed to be a master, you must create more obscure facts, and trawl the net for longer searching for info to back you up.
15. You are all that we fear, the Fanboy Master of the highest level. You think you know everything, sales figures are rattled off from your mouth and keyboard at an alarming rate, all who try to silence you are buried by your replies that destroy reason itself. Truly, one of the Lords Of The Fanboys.

You read wrongly...the first few questions actually matter the most, it was rather hard to lay out so I had to do it like this, pity we can't draw diagrams on here :P

Yes, I do own more than one console, but only one next-gen console. Yes I do prefer one better because the SNES was the highlight of my gaming life. Or course you'r going to prefer one - 'I still love my PS2 as much as my GC even though it doesn't have as many games that satisfy my needs'

You'r test is flawed - the first few questions don't really matter in the end of it and only the last question matters. And, no matter what, on this, you are a fanboy. Unless I read incorrectly

Surely there are good fanboys? I mean I am a Ninty but I do not go "lardy da PS2 sucks". I apreciate all the games consoles! All are fun and make me happy, thats what they are there for!
