Not long ago my PS2 began to not read certain discs which required me to clean the lens - its not even two years old yet.
My cousins PS2 which is 6 months younger than mine stopped reading all but psone disks and he has had to buy a £50 replacement lens.
Bah, for him.

I’ve gone through a good 7 or 8 PS2's!!!, and i’ve always kept my dinner well away from them.

That one sentance just sums up why certain people shouldn't be allowed near electrical goods at all.

Ketchup...KETCHUP, WTF has he been doing, using it as a dinner plate?

My mates knackered his. It's all dusty and has tomatoe ketchup stains on it. You also have to open the disk tray manually. Still works fine though. :D

Oh and mine is a launch day jobby aswell. And it's fine at the moment...

My disc drive sounds a bit .. clunky. And the unit itself is much louder than my bro's. And his is a month older.

Yep...I'm with Wookiee on this as well, launch day machine....one slightly damaged controller due to being thrown across the room in frustration.....but still going strong.

If it breaks in the next couple of days.....I'll be mightily peeved :)

I've lost count of how many times I've said this now, but I'll repeat it again...

Launch-day machine, still going strong with absolutely no problems.

Watch it break now! :-)
