I saw it was ont he release list last year but I haven't seen or heard anything from it since. Is it still planned for release or have they canned it?

Last I heard it was cancelled. Silicon Knights (the developers behind it) recently finished Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, if you're interested and are working on a new 'Cube project as we speak, apparently.
