I live in a PS2 area. One person down the road owns one and two of my friends own them. One of whom waited a entire year for the PS2 and when the release date came for the X-BOX the sensible thing would have been to wait for the better console. No such luck.
Any way. He is a arogant as the nxt PSONE or PS2 owner but I would like to know what makes the PS2 owner so stupid and makes him buy it.

Im very happy with my PS2 but on a few occasions Ive come close to pre - ordering an X-Box!! Im going to wait though as Ive got a GC on order - Maybe one day I may have all three!!

The fact is that the PS2 and Xbox aer both great consoles worth getting... if I ever get the money I'll buy both.

The fact is that console specs mean NOTHING. It's the games that make the console, and both these consoles (and indeed, the GC) have absolutely fantastic games that makes them worth getting.
