1. My boss was away for most of the month.
2. We have a huge TV in the meeting room doing nothing.
3. I was going to invest in a Gamecube
4. I was going to hammer the new Zelda.
Just checked the release date and I am a month out! It is not released until early May. I am now going to buy myself a huge bar of Cadbury's chocolate to console myself (sob).

Probably am, but at the end of the day the PS1 version looked like they'd sketched the graphics out on the back of a napkin.
There's just a hell of a lot more atmosphere in the Gamecube version.
Fair enough the controls take a lot of getting used to, but use configuration 3 and you're laughing.

So you're a graphics junkie then? Because that's all that has really changed.

NO! The dated controls could and should have been changed - what a stupid excuse, "We kept the controls the same to make the story more tense". That's utter codswallop. It was a lack of effort to change the controls that made me so angry when I got it. And the sheer frustration when a zombie gets you is down to the controls.
Look at Eternal Darkness - a great storyline couple with decent controls and that's what R.E. should have been. As it stands, it joins the rank of games like The Getaway - an ambitious flawed conception.

I used to think Resdient Evil was crap, but then I got the Gamecube version and I can't get enough of the series.
The dated controls are part of what makes the games. As for the storyline, there's nothing wrong with it at all.
Eternal Darkness is better but Resi is still damn enjoyable.
Or drool like a rabid hound at the "exclusiveness" of the game when in actual fact it's Resident Evil set on a train. Boring, soul destroying and weak.
> Literally hammer - Resident Evil 0 - it'll be rubbish.
Or hammer Unbeliever because he smells of biscuits and wee.
Which it will, if at no other time than when my pre-ordered copy of Zelda arrives on my doorstep...
