Alright I was big footy fan as child, now not so much.

Support Aberdeen, we're doing alright.

Okay theres my bit about football... why not just for once write something that is not about football in here...

For example... maybe the fact that Afganistan is still being bombed stupid. Did you know that there were five *suspected* arms storage buildings... the U.S.A delibeately bombed them all... only 2 were arms buildings... the other three were a block of flats... lots of familys dead. BAH

Or the fact that two unstable, nuclear armed countries are close to war... how do you feel about that?

Come on, use your brains give some variation.

Good good.

Yes, but there has been periods in this forum when football chat has dired up completly. I'm lovin it right now, and would like it stay it like that. BUt i'm sure the football chat will dry up sooner or later...(not while i'm around though)

If u wanna chat about world news...econmoics...blah,,blah..blah..so it amogst yourselves. No one is stoping ya.

So then...what you lot think about the sudden boom in general sale during December? Likely to lead in a rise of interest rates?

The FTSE seems to be going up and up, up close to a 100 points yesterday. Apparetnly if u wanna buy some shares, buy them in chip companies. They should see a huge boom this year. Intel shares went up about $2.50 yesterday.

I watch the Business report on BBC news 24 every day at 2:30AM :P

Chatting about football won't change anything either.

Some people like to chat about things that actually matter in the world, even though you can not do anything about it I think it is important to at least form some sort of educated opinion about it. More importantly to see what other people think about it, how their views differ from yours and try to see it from their point of view too.

Of course talking about things like war makes you sad, but not talking about it doesn't make it go away. It's still there. Nothing will change that, especially not ignoring it and talking about whether David Beckham looks cute (Hm, I'm not ranting to girls here, oh nevermind, continue.)

I know you can talk about football here, I know it's in the forum heading, but over the past month or so there has been little else but football and that worries me somewhat, as looking at the news there isn't a shortage of things going on in the rest of the world.

last time i checked we had the right to free speech to talk about anything we want. perhaps some people would rather talk about happy things like football instead of people dying and being on the verge of a nuclear war. football looks quite a happy topic compared to that
