XBox versus a cardboard box.

There's much excitement in the console world today with Microsoft's Xbox doing well in the USA and it's launch in Japan and Europe this spring, but how does it compare to a cardboard box?

Looks:
The Xbox is not the prettiest console to grace the games industry, it's quite large in comparison to it's rivals, and has an unattractive green light. There's also an 'X' on it. There is currently only one type of Xbox available. The cardboard box has the advantage here, as they're available in all sorts of shapes and sizes, but appearance wize it looks rather dull, with only one brown colour available.

Storage:

Given the size of the Xbox you need a little space to keep it in, also, as you might find yourself buying games and other accessories you might find you need more storage space than you have available. A cardboard box can be flattened, making storage much easier. Better still, you can use you cardoard box to store other things in!

Games:

Alone the Xbox cannot play many games, but games are available for purchase to play on it, if you're willing to stump up some extra cash. There are many games you can play with a cardboard box though, from 'hide stuff in the box' to 'hide the box' and such classics as 'pretend the box is a car'.

Cost:

An Xbox will set you back £300, but a box will cost only a fraction of this.

So it's quite apparent, a cardboard box is superior to an Xbox in every way.

EXTRA BREAKING NEWS!

Fearing that their Xbox will be in the shadow of other, superior boxes Microsoft have taken the bold step of announcing that their Xbox will come in a cardboard box.

This is thought to add no extra cost either.

A spokesman for Mental Institute, who calls himself Colin Solid said "I am stunned and shocked by this announcement from Microsoft! What an amazing deal, not only do you get a great new cardboeard box, but it will contain an Xbox too. Stunning, simply stunning."

News that games would come in DVD style cases has not been so warmly recieved though. Proffessor Yaffle from Bagpuss had the following to say "I can't help put be disappointed by this sad, sad news. I've always liked my games to come in boxes, which was one of the reasons I remained loyal to Nintendo for so long. It was always twice the fun, gettign a new game, as well as a box. I had a large number of game boxes you know, and built a little fort with them. DVD cases just don't make as good forts..." Unfortunatley Proffessor Yaffle was cut short when Bagpuss yawned, and he faded out to a dirty brown colour.

So, Microsoft's decision to sell their console with a free box, is it a wize one? Only time will tell.

That's ok Mr Dragon, I'm bored as well.
I'm going to do a post over lunchtime about something else entirely made-up.

Nope, this topic is in all ways different to yours. I'm certain you haven't done a 'console VS non-console' post.

But yesterday I was deliberately copying your style of posts out of sheer boredom.

In fact the cardboard box is better as you won't have to suffer by playing cack games!
