As a rule I don't enjoy war movies.

Tell me more about this one, I caught a glimpse of the trailer and something interested me, but I can't figure out what.

Ewan McGregor's in it, but he's not billed on the poster or in the trailer, he's probably the evil Kevin Spacey-style super-villain at the end, in which case I've just spoiled the movie for you.

This is about US Rangers (not the park kind) getting their jarheads whupped in Somalia.

I've heard you can get Stars'n'Stripes flags in the lobby of each cinema.

Well what a coincedence. Just as I opened this topic, I recieved an e mail from Columbia Tri Star about winning tickets to the UK premiere of the film.

Anyway, I'm not sure what to think. I haven't seen the trailer.

I heard about it a while ago and saw it was a Ridley Scott film. But it's Jerry Bruckheimer who produces it.

Ridley Scott and Bruckheimer are not 2 people I can imagine working together. Ridley Scott is a great director but every Bruckheimer film is corny beyond words.

So I'm not too sure what to make of it. I'll go see it no matter what the reviews say mind.

It features a lot of the people from pearl harbor, Tom Sizemore and Josh Hartnett stick out, also I think Matt Damon is in it, who was in saving private ryan with Tom Sizemore. I guess they decided to take people from war films to help them fill the stereotypes. Looks like quite a good film though.
