"So I just bought an Xbox..."

I don't think I've ever even looked at this forum before but I just bought an Xbox so this would seem as good a time as any to make my first post. I only really wanted to play Halo but I just went into SR's arch-rivals G*** and they'd labelled up the console wrong, so I made an impulse purchase and got a BIG bargain. It also came with Oddworld (or whatever it's called) and Project Gotham Racing. Yay me!

Any other recommendations?

Yeah, I heard that too. But I also heard about a new chip which has a flashable ROM, so that it in theory it will never become obsolete. I'll probably just wait until I'm super-rich and can afford two XBoxes (and the necessary warehouse space).

Seriously though its bloody hard - all the expensive stuff I'd love to have is just glimmering and winking at me ! Can almost see the smile and cheeky wink of the card as I start to crack ! ;-))

I think altering the Xbox hardware can stop Xbox live working.

I'd quite like to get the Box chipped; not for pirate games, but just so that I could play MAME in front of the telly. Pacman just doesn't seem right on PC.
