Ok so some games are short but great still, like metal gear solid for example, but devil may cry took me 3.5 hours to complete and i got a tonn of orbs and good rankings although i didnt unlock al sercrets but its a bit short isnt it? BTW i cant find the shotgun in the game!!!!! i heard there is one can ne one help!

To me games arent short its gamers who are becoming better, like when I got my first resident evil game which was resident evil 2 it took ages for me to finish in fact I already had a copy of resident evil 3 about an year later and I wasnt able to even finish resident evil 2.
But after playing of both every time I came to find that there are a bit of similarities and one thing that had hindered me was the puzzles but as soon as I got a way to solve them I got further and further in both games. I've also found out that some games one the playstation 2 have this kind of gameplay, like resident evil code: veronica x, silent hill 2 , Devil May Cry etc.
In other words games like Devil May Cry and metal gear solid 2 are made with formulas that gamers are familiar with so the result is they find it very easy and complete it.

i agree a lot of games released nowadays are short but good, such as jak & daxter, devil may cry, silent hill 2 etc, although these games are very good they are short most games last a max of 10 hours which is a bit short for £40 worth of money, with that much money you could probably watch about 13 movies, which is about 26 hours, so i guess game makers should make a game a least minimum, 26 hours long to justify a heavy price tag of £40. although there are some good long games like gta3, final fantasy etc.
