I decided to 'un'-sticky my thread as the GAD's for 'webmasters' have stopped now... :¬(


After keeping this thread updated over the last year I was hoping it would encourage more Freeola based web designers to get involved; but going by the number of 'webmasters' that don't claim past awards it doesn't seem to have worked very well!

I must admit I saw this appear on the Latest Customer Sites page a few days ago and nearly made a post to say how it caught my eye! Too late now...

I think it's the colour scheme that makes it.

NB. Not sure why the 'Winners List' shows "No Winner" rather than "Webmaster" which is normally displayed?

congrats on your win!

You shouldn't have to 'poke' anyone if you've sent an email.
Keep your eye on the GAD Winners page (see link above) and you should see the "Please Claim!" remark change when your email has been processed.

Waiting for a reply from the powers that be for winning (yay!) on the deja-voo site design, anyone know who else I can poke after emailing the contact listed on the prizes page?

In case anyone wondered this thread is still being kept up to date! It's just that there hasn't been a win for a while...

Can Freeola comment on how they pick winners?
I would have thought that when sites are submitted to Freeola Customer Sites that would be an ideal time to review a site.

But from what I can see, when a site is submitted only the home page is visited and that's it. Maybe my sites don't interest the Freeola reviewer to venture further... ;¬(

Hi Garin,
Now's not a good time to apply as it looks like there's soon to be a bit of a re-jig, going by the 'Controversial' thread over in General Chat.

Certainly looks like the Moderator situation needs revisiting as whoever volunteered to moderate this forum has been on a long holiday...
