Can anyone give me a rough estimate (assuming I can find one) of how much it would cost me to get hold of a DC and a few games?

That was a year ago too.

I have about 35 games, two controllers, 4MB memory card, 2 cable extenders, 2 rumble packs, keyboard. dreamcast and keyboard are boxed.
Any one wanna offer me a price?

I got a second hand one boxed from Gamestation for 26.99, £2 for a VMU unboxed, you can't beat Ebay for the games though, they are much cheaper than in Gamestation and Another World, or SR.....

Best buys I've had so far, Soul Calibur for £5, House Of The Dead 2 + Gun £15 (inc postage) DOA2 £5 Skies of arcadi and 9 others £40

It's just that I can get a console and a number of very decent and reputable games for less than the market value of an N64...

I got my Dreamcast last-Summer, brand-new, for £50 (from Gamestation).
They'll probably have gone down in price a little since then.

Why have you suddenly decided to get one?
Is it Shenmue, or what??
Or does it come with being a Notable, or something?

It's worth it, though. Some top-quality games out-there, if you can find them.
