Then again, I did watch it in 3 different viewings, and it was taped from channel 5. The DVD is £8...I may have to get it.
It's nothing like the film, Deckard is a weedy little civil servant type bloke with a nagging wife.
I was really disappointed with it.
It does make a good read though, the theory of Deckard being either homosexual or frightened of women.
The fact that he lives alone, only ever kills 2 replicants and both are female. And is assaulted by 2 fembots, both in sexual ways (Zora is half-naked and Pris gets his head between her thights).
And Deckard being told "You've done a man' job" at the end, not referring to whether he's an android or not, but saying that he has reinforced his masculinity once more.
It makes sense when you sit and watch the movie, his love-scene with Racheal is violent and commanding "Kiss me" and shows little tenderness, but when he does get it on with her, either he's an android or by murdering 2 women (replicants) he has extinguished his hatred of women.

Ahhh, but is he a man, or a replicant?

If he is a robot himeself, is that so bad? What kind of kids would they have? Like, Metal Mickey or something...

Hmm. Very deep that. Much too deep for this time of day...
It ruled, and was Blade Runner-ish.
First time I saw Bladerunner I was about 12 and had the measles, so I was allowed to stay up late 'cos I had to put cream on my spots. I watched Bladrunner on ITV.
It changed my life. Honest. Ever played Syndicate Wars?
That girly droid blew Leon away in the alleyway, Deckard only managed to smash Batty with a pole.
The only two he offed himself were fembots.
What a rotten hero, shooting girl robots because he can't cut it as a man anymore - he also cops off with a girl robot.
I read a feminist tract on this movie, and Scott agreed that Deckard was basically afraid of women and possibly gay.
Which might explain him being chased by Batty in his pants.
