i recon we need more overclockers and case modders on these forums aslo more hardware people, AGREE?

I can pick a new one of these up for £15
Rob, how is a CPU cheaper than a fan?
And yes, phils box looks cool, but mine will rule the world!!

As for overclocking: This is the ONLY CPU I've got and I don't care how fast it is I don't want to break it. Plus, it would probably be cheaper to buy a new CPU than get a bigger fan for this. When I'm running this as a server and firewall I'll overclock it but not until then.
Believe me, by the time I've finished, my case will look nothing like yours.
Are you happy with your antec fans?? I'm not to keen on mine.. used to think they were quiet but I must be getting used to them. Going to cut out the metal grills and replace them, should give me some more airflow and hopefully quieten things down a bit. Dont particualarly fancy having to fork out £15 a pop for at least four papst fans..

Overclocking will make your CPU run

All true. Listen to this man (did I just say that?), but this can be just as expensive as case modding, £100+ for a water cooling setup...Intel CPUs run fairly cool anyway, and AMD ones will operate safely up until about 75C, but my Duron 750@953mhz never went above 48C load.
As for case modding, avoid it like

All in all we're looking at about £200 at least!!
Yep, case modding is expensive, and for a lot of people it just seems pointless (and is, really, except to aid airflow through the case). It looks nice, but if you just have a PC which you use occasionally and sits under your desk all day, it's really not worth it. I always have my PC on the desk for easy access, I take it out a lot to LANs etc, I'm around it for most of the day, and I get sick of looking at beige..
However, it doesn't have to be as expensive as Andi says - you could simply spray your case, a few cans of paint and primer costs less than £20. How much you do is up to you - I have a top 120mm blowhole, baybus, 4 silent case fans, handles, a window, bl00 cold cathode and a black painted mouse. Just ordering (today, woop) a black keyboard, blue neon string for the front grill, a window etch, rounded cables and an LCD (if Andi ever sorts it out..). Somewhere in there I'll bl00 mod my LEDs and paint my monitor too.
Excessive? Probably. But I enjoy it, it looks very sweet and you can do something original with your case - or you can be like Andi and just copy what I do..
By the way Andi, there isn't much room for a side blowhole. If you don't switch the side panels around so the one with the handle is on the other side, there definately isn't room, the front drive cages will get in the way. If you switch them around, you might be able to squeeze an 80mm inat the front, or possibly above the window in a gap between the PSU and the 5.25" drive cage.
Come on people, just try experimenting in modding/overclocking..
