When new games that were good came out you all said this game is 10/10 and you cant get any better, but what do you think of them now?
here is mine...
Smugglers Run - 7/10
I.S.S - 7/10
Red Faction - 8/10
Grand Theft Auto III - 9½/10
SSX Tricky - 9/10
Devil May Cry 9½/10
Metal Gear Solid 2 (GAD) - ???

just do the same but with YOUR games to see how many peoples opinions change over time.

maybe your right. anyway no game is 10/10 cause no game is perfect
MGS = too short
FF = too repetitive
GT3 = too repetitive
resi evil = too short

and there's tons more games that could fit into that category. closest game so far to being perfect is GTA3 but that gets repetitive after a while as well

I agree that its hard to get 10/10, but I disagree with your reason. If its because things can be improved in later years, then all games would get 0/10 simply because in 1000 years time things will be far better.

here's anotehr example Sensible world of soccer back in 94 was getting best football game ever awards now compare it with pro evolution soccer. gameplay wise their both as addictive but SWOS looks really dated compared to it

i have the following games with my personal scores.

james bond agent under fire 9.3/10
timesplitters 8.9/10
gt3 9.7/10
pro evo soccer 9.3/10
wwf smack down jbi. 8.7/10

Instead of going for a perfect score i.e 9.6 I tend to round them up. In my opinion they are really good for their genres at this moment in time. You have to remember that in 1997 (or whenever MGS was realeased) it was absolutely fantastic. In a few years people will see DMC and think it's worth about 5/10.

personally i don't think ANY game can be given 10/10 because that would mean the game is perfect and no game can get any better which is wrong. who gave Metal Gear Solid 10/10 when it first came out now compared to MGS2 it'd be lucky to get 5/10. Games are progressing all the time so no game can ever be perfect as there'll always be something they can improve on.
