Jubless, peace and goodnight BO.
This is a pretty sad article seeing as my loyalty lies with Nintendo....
come chill out hulk are i will suplex you in to the mat
Next, the programming ease of the X-box and Gamecube should be significantly better than the Ps2, Lucasarts are the ones to ask here, as they have coded one game for each (Starfighter and Rogue 2). Direct X, as well, should be well known so easier to program for.
Games? We hear that all the Ps2 gets is sequels, but then look at the demos of the Gamecube. Unfortunately, the demos at the Spaceworld are nothing to go by. Although all WE saw were demos, I am willing to bet that Nintendo have a few tricks up their sleeves that they wish to remain hidden. As a U.R.E.A. member, I also believe that the graphics of the demos exceed anything I have seen on the PS2 (with the slightly possible exception of MGS2.).
OK. What else? Marketing? Here PS2 definitely have the upper hand. The PS2 is much more anticipated, mainly because they advertised the PSX to death (U.R.E.A. member I will remind you), and have many followers which mainly wish to upgrade their own PSX's, and get a DVD player thrown in. Unfortunately I must now ask a question, what is the status of the DVD player? Is it any good? Is the picture and sound good? (Yes I know that was several questions).
Internet access? I am afraid that is the only topic I am really unsure on. So I will leave that.
Controller? Now I am just being picky. Gamecube looks like a piece of tat, but very ergonomically designed, and that is all that matters. PS2 are sticking with a controller that is doing well on its own. So why are they re-releasing the PSX as PS1?
Haven't really said much on X-box, that's because not much is known. Although they have that large line-up of first parties, only a few are any good, with one or two really being great (Totally Games and Lionhead.
That's it. That is why I think the PS2 will not win, it won't die, but it won't really live much either. All Nintendo really have to do is shake off the childish nature of their games, which I think Miamoto is doing.
To all those Sega fans out there, I have not talked at all about the Dreamcast, because I do not know that much about it. What would I be doing to U.R.E.A. if I just started commenting on things I wasn't sure about?
THE FUTURE.............
