Mine go like this:
3) Manic Street Preachers - Everything Must Go/ This iS My Truth Tell Me Yours. I can't decide between these two, they're both fantastic.
2) Radiohead - OK Computer. Truly fantastic, the best way I've heard it described is as "One of THOSE albums" and that's so very true. It just IS great.
1) Counting Crows - August and Everything After. My favourite band by a long way. The first listen of Round Here and I fell in love with them. Completely. I love every single song on this album, apart from one which I still like a lot. This is my favourite album ever and I doubt anything will change that.
Just a damn good punk album.
Nirvana - Inutero
Classic stuff, much better than Nevermind
Greenday - Dookie
Damn good album, never get bored of it
2. Nirvana - Nevermind
3. Manics - The Holy Bible
Before anyone gets ideas, this is a JOKE. Of the mick take kind.
I have nothing against Pennywise, either.
> LoL, Pennywise, you sad sad man. ;-)
3.) Steps - Gold
Well..
> :-)
I would LOL at your Steps, but seriously... they are not worth the energy laughing at... they should just be burnt... (or do that thing on the matrix so their mouths get closed up... no wait that wouldn't stop them, they don't sing anyway, just dance pointlessly to the irritating music...)
but anyway who am I to judge your musical taste... (but c'mon, Steps?!?)
1.) Lifehouse - No Name Face
Just love this music, couldn't tell you why.
2.) Stereophonics - Word Gets Around
Go go this album. Must faster than Cocktails, and much better all round than J.E.E.P, which was a waste of my money.
3.) Steps - Gold
Well.. :-)
3) CapDown- 'Pound For the Sound' Second album from the Ska'dcore UK Punksters. With political lyrics, a unique vocal style, and instrumental sounds with elements of Hardcoe, Ska and straight Punk, these guys are on the road to success. Already a hit on the underground punk scene in the UK, they will go far.
2) Pennywise- 'Land of the Free?' I was torn over which Pennywise album to have in this spot, but this is their latest, and by far the most political, and because of the album at in my no.1 slot, I am really into political music at the moment. Heavy, fast, political, punk. This album is incredible.
1) Anti-Flag- 'Underground Network' this album is nothing short of incredible. It takes the punk rock sound, and adds some hardcore style vocals, accompanied by amazing singing, with lyrics sung with such conviction, rage, and passion, you can taste the bile at the back of your throat. Easily one of the most political albums in my collection, every song has a meaning, and these guys really care about their causes. If you like the adrenaline rush from the sheer anger felt when shouting along to political songs, then get this album. It won't disappoint.
2) Jeff Buckley- Grace. This is a great mixture of manically depressing verses, mixed with exotic guitar chords and moving tunes
3) REM- Automatic for the people. Like the above album, the songs on this album all consist of hugley depressing lyrics- about dead parents and trying to kill yourself. However, this mood changes at the end of the album when Man on the Moon takes full stride and changed the whole atmosphere.
