Very cool. Multipurpose video display for moving or still images. And it's a hand held video phone.

Good god no. Tooooooooooooooooooooooooo expensive for me. But some people will pay it. Those who live life on the bleeding edge of technology (as opposed to the "leading" edge). For "most of us" the technology will be smaller, cheaper, and faster when we get it.

as for quality, the football highlights clips looked good. The screens must be similar to the current colour screen phones.

All this newfangled business about phones makes me laugh. In my day, we had two tin cans joined by a piece of string!

That was "state of the art" technology.

Bad phone - 3G
Good phone - Any normal phone

Yeah, it'll take a lot of time for them to take off. And what about the battery power - you'd have to put the phone on charge everyday!

Truth is, I know a number of people who would spend £120 or more on a mobile phone. However at around £400 (not to mention subscription charges, etc), 3G handsets will take some time to become mainstream. But they will be mainstream - eventually.
