Viewing Thread:
"Dodgy DVD Region X"

I recieved my DVD region X from SR yesterday, inserted it into my PS2 and followed the instructions and that screen came up saying 'Please insert PS2 disc.... blah blah blah'

I've checked it and there isn't one scratch on it.

Am I missing something or is it just faulty?

i think it could be the machines after the price dropped (i just missed it)

Yeah, I think its with the newer PS2's

I got my machine in July and the region thingy works fine.

Must be the latest machines, still, sony are cuntz for doing it.

Are the problem with newer PS2's? I have had no problems with it but mine is a launch machine.

I'm going to wait for the newer version, I hear some people have problems with the AR2 V2.

Get the action replay 2V2 instead. Only £10 more and you get the cheat section.

whats the f***ing point in all this region crap i know it's cause of staggered release dates but it's just stupid.

I have a AR2 V2. I thinks its better than Region-X as you get the cheat function aswell. It works on mine ok but I have a launch machine.
