Well its nearing the end of 2001.....what a year its been for little old me. Turned 15....exactly the same as turning 14, but more importantly I found these forums and ever since I have been glued to my PC posting away like mad in here. Along the way I have had my arguements, made some great friends and learned an awful lot....normally not to do with gaming, but hey, whos perfect.

The beginnning:

What I intend to do here is to write about my year on the forums....not quite, but you know what I mean. I joined way back in March as Games Guru. The first thing I noticed was the hordes of people saying, "shes back?" At the time it made very little sense. It was only when I found out that she was the first female to come to this site that it made sense. She had left a while back and people thought she had come back. Sadly for them she hadn't and it was just a boy called Mark.

I posted for a while in the WLT, but after a while I lost interest and disappeared. I returned later in the year as MJswerve and this was when the whole SR experience kicked off. I had some brilliant chats here. All about gaming too. I argued what consoel would win the console war....unfortunately :) Eventually I found out that people here didn't enjoy it much so I gave up the ghost and found something else to speak about which was much more fun. The arguements with ssxpro stopped and managed to make some good friends.

How to spot MJswerve in his first few weeks on the forums:

I was a JAT for over two weeks.
Tony thought I was a girl.
I made huge posts with no paragraphs.
I repeated myself a lot using phrases such as "will blow it straight out of the water" many, many times.

Memorable moments:

WHen I arrived I saw this topic called "Ring Ring!". I read it and it made little sense. BEfore long someone called er-no, who I later found out to be called Joby began having a go at me for not liking it :) Now I see the good side of the ring ring stories...masterpeices.

"But wait! Shocky throws his X-box at MJ and hits him in the side of his head" These were the console wars I enjoyed. A few of my friends on here and I would have a conversation as if it was a story, while meaningless to some it was great fun and we all enjoyed it greatly.

I attempted to write a story for a long, long time. Unfortunately it didn't get much success. It had a complicated time travel storyline and only the people who were in it read it at all.

EEFAD! What we had to do was to make a topic with a few words in the title and in the topic. Whoever got the most replies won a film, simple! This turned into a spamathon completely overrunning the forus, but now when I look back on it, it was quite funny.

The NRA. THe Notable Resistance I think it stood for. This caused havoc. A group of posters thought that the Notables didn't respect us regulars and set out to do something about it. TEmpers frayed, words began to fly. I got banned
:( It was at this time that I found out who my friends were on here as they stood by me when I was annoyed with what had happened. They know who they are, but I will be mentioning them later on.

An untimely swear word. I got banned again.....déjá vú. This wasn't looking good for me really.

My IP was blocked. Luckily I got a new ISP a few weeks later, but that time was not very pleasant I can tell you.

GUESS THE EMAIL! EEGAD. I had my account removed....I could see where my future on the site was going by now. Luckily I managed to unremove it and here I am, albiet it probably on another account.

Games guru account is in action once again. I return under the name of Vektor and win GAD. I was over the moon and I chose SSBM. This win was good for me, although I am disappointed as I think it is a topic which bears no resembelence to what I can actually write when I put my mind to it.

MJ singing! I sung a few songs and uploaded them...boy what a mistake. Quite a few of you had a good laugh and I liked that. Just trying to put a bit of humour into a boring time.

Since then nothing much has happened. I have made man more friend however and in the next section I am going to write a small paragraph about all of those I feel have made my time here all the more enjoyable.

My SR friends:

NOw unfortunately I am not going to list you all here. IN fact some of you may be surprised that I am not going to mention you, don't worry.

1. Shocktrooper: NOw Adam is a great friend. One of the first people I made friends with on the site and until recently I have enjoyed speaking to him....why not now? Well he doesn't seem to be online anymore :(

2. Sniper: Now SNiper was someone I didn't know much at all until recently when he introduced me to the world of TO. Hes a great guy and definately one of my best mates online.

3. Grandprix: Made a late entrance into my story as one of the swat team members. Had about two lines, but if the story is ever finished he would have made it to the end. Why? Well he is a great person.

4. Rawisandy (starlight) and Jet: There was a time when I was a regular over on the WWF forums. These two were great mates from there. JEts had his problems recenty, but has held his head high and is getting through them. Andy on the other hand is just a drunk camp guy :) Nah, they are both people who I respect and would like to speak to next time I get the chance.

5. Pb: Brilliant poster, and the first person to really impress me in the way they posted. Paul is a very nice person and another who I would like to speak to more.

6. Khazar and Timewarp: Twins....can't get the chromosomes can you :) These two were a right act while they were here. Me and Khazar had our differences...one second I want him banned, the next the opposite. Unfortunately he is no longer with us on the forums. The latter applies to his brother Sam as well. Not sure where TW went, but again I had my differences with him. GReat guy on the whole, just not someone I managed to get along with.

7. Mr Nice Guy: Well mixed views on old Tom really. SOme love him, some loathe him. Been banned a few times like me yet has not let it phase him and he has gone on to post some brilliant topics and is now doing great running a web page with several members of this forum. *cough* www.viewandplay.co.uk *cough* :-D

8. Zeldapro: NOw Jamie is sorely missed by me. Come back mate, I really enjoyed those arguements we had over who knew the most about Zelda :[ Not sure if its still happening, but last time we spoke he was making a site which looked very promising indeed.

9. Bonus: THe flying scotsman. BRuce is another great person. Not spoken to for a while which is a shame. PRobably stuck in his uni bar playing on their Ps2 :)

10. The Game: PRobably doesn't know me that well. Jeremy is friendly, nice and a great guy. We haven't spoken that much in my eyes which is a shame, but our Bonus bashing tachniques should come in handy :) One of the two people that made me think about writing this actually.

11. SonicRav: Only recently got to know ol' SOnic. Dying/died his hair blue...spiked it up...I wonder why :-D Wonderful poster who I respect greatly.

12. Iguana: The first female regular, what an achievement. Great friend for me although she may not know it. I feel pleased to be able to speak to you Jess as you helped me through getting over being banned which was cool. Big thanks going out to you. Hopefully you will have enough time to read this in between that DIablo 2 obsession :)

13. ssxpro: Brilliant poster who I haven't spoken to for a L-O-N-G time. Great person on the whole and the first person I had a games related arguement with on the forums :)

14. Ant: IS it just me or is ol' Anthony a bit too smart :) I have always had my suspicions that he is really a 40 year old with a childs body :P Great poster, great story writer, great friend.

15. RastaBillySkank: At first I thought he was a freak for posting so often....I soon change my mind. Chris is a good friend and enlightened me as to how Limp Bizkit got their name.....:P

16. Darkness_2k: I have had some very interesting talks with Dan. Knows some good sites that he is all too happy to share :) GReat guy.

Well with that my topic comes to an end. What is in store for me next year? I have no idea. Guess I will just have to wait and find out......

Thanks for reading, MJ.

Oh MJ, your singing had me laughing for days. The problem was that I accidently had my speakers on full blast when I downloaded it, everyone heard it.

Good good. Always happy to please :) I got a bit bored of seeing the newbies overrunning the forums so I wanted to get some of the old names back into Chat :)
