If you is let me know how it runs.
Apparently a certain other site has recieved shipment of the BB and modem adaptors so I'm guessing it'll be all up and running by tommorow.

They haven't played online with the UK version, but they've been ;playing the Jap version ever since it was released.
I'd download the demo but my PC does in fact, suck balls and wouldn't be able to run it.
Or hack and slash them by yourself
If you want some idea of what the single player is like, try playing table tennis by yourself.

It's only the first level and also has an online option for the first level. Try before you buy, it's always nice to have that.

I've never played the game before so have no idea what it's really about.

I can relate to that.
Hack the big Monster, level up and move on. Gets a bit tedious.
But I still had some fun playing the PC demo :-D
I wont be going online with my GameCube until online 'Cube gaming goes the way of the Dreamcast - and so, I could be waiting a while...
Most real time RPGs suck. It needs to be at least semi-turn based (Chrono Trigger) to be decent.
Secret of Mana managed to pull it off, but it's also backed up by a much better story/characters/locations than PSO.
Online RPGs don't work. If you want multi-player real time RPG goodness, then wait for FF:CC to show you how it's done. Being online severly limits the RPG-ness of it in my opinion.
It is pretty much like that, So isn't most RPG's?
It doesn't change the fact that the gameplay involves little more than walk forwards and repeatidly press attack when enemies are encountered.
