The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Just to let you know, we are planning a quick refresh of the forums this week. The page layouts and navigation are remaining the same but there'll be some minor cosmetic tweaks.
We'll also add the ability to add a small avatar under your nickname. But don't worry, for those of you that hate such fripperies, you'll be able to disable the display of avatars in your MyFreeola account.
With a bit of luck we'll be making these changes tomorrow.

Seconded.
Oh and as for the animations, you were warned!
"Only the following file types are allowed: .jpg, .png and .gif. Any file types other than the types stated above will be rejected. [CODE]All animated images will be rejected."

Here here we do appreciate it!
Like you say nostalgia can be a killer but times change and people move on. Interesting you mentioned it as before I went away I went passed the old SR Stapleford shop (Nottigham) for the first time in ages expecting it to be something else but it isn't it's still exactly the same but borded up after all this time.
It's also the only place I've been ID'd when buying a game which went something like:
Shop assistant: "How old are you?"
Me: "18" (I was 17)
Shop assistant: "£30 please" :D
Erm? Was that the first avatar test then?
And for all those clamouring on about the good old days, go and look at the archive posts in chat from 2001-2002, there are the same posts clamouring on about the good old days!
Nostalgia is a killer.
