Hi, im new to GTA 3 and I wish to enter the third island. Does anybody know how long or how many missions it takes for the bridgesubwaytunnel to open?

I do not remember this, I was probably too happy that I had finished the game to notice what happened in the ending. I do not remember a gunshot however.

Yes I've done all that. What I mean is that when you complete the mission she starts talking about her nails and then suddenly you hear a gunshot and she shuts up.

No, you have to shoot down the helicoter in the final mission and rescue maria to complete the mission. You then walk off into the sunset with her, with a radio news report in the background.

Did Maria get shot at the end or was it just for show?

Yeh I did that the first time.

I shot Maria by mistake thinking she was Catalina for some reason.....duh

Maria is kidnapped by Catalina and in the final mission you have to rescue her

Sadly no :-( Please don't cry, I was sad aswell. Once you finsiht he final mission there is a little surprise in the final FMV. It was also sad as she and that other chinesse women got it on together "that's not a massager". Quality.
