Are you all broadband subscribers ? if not and you want to play online this could be an expensive time to say the least.

I see BT have BroadBand available to 65+ percent of homes now, I am with NTL and have had odd problems but always managed to get them sorted.

I guess around 50% of freeola users have broadband ?

I'm probably miles off the mark.

Ah, I remember they did this just before or after christmas, and to be honest, when my Dad told me that we had been on 600k the last week, I seriously didn't beleive him. It was no different. But I'll try again... and see. :)

I found a (good?) broadband speed test at download.com, got a best of 31kb/sec on my 128 connection,

http://download.com.com/3000-2104-10108116.html?tag=lst-0-1

You will then have to probably download a newer version but it only takes a moment.

PS. Nat, NTL are giving a free upgrade to a 600k line from 17th march for 2 weeks to all 128 customers, got your mail shot yet ?

My ex has upgraded hers from 56k dialup to 128k with NTL, she has had a few problems with it. Connection keeps dropping, all down to the installation of the line (seperate from cable), had to call out NTL 4 times to get it fixed.

She got 3 months free connection in the end plus it's just started happening again.

I have 128k line from NTL, only costs two quid a month as I got my standard tv package half price if I subscribed (saving thirteen pound on tv package)
