...that people that join these forums aren't fat, balding 50 year olds, sitting about in their pants and chatting up children? Just a thought based on some of the creme de chat I've seen lately.

As Phil says, this forum is less of a discussion group and more of a community. If you look in some of the other threads, a lot of the time we're not actually talking about techy stuff, most of it is just mindless gabber, one-upmanship and private jokes.

Meh, I feel that this is a closer community - there are fewer of us so we know each other better and are comfortable with real names.

why do people on this forum all call each other by first name, when on chat we're all on a screen name basis... maybe we're behind the times on chat?
