I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but when i bought my PS2 (in early November) along with a memory card and GT3, I started playing every hour I wasn't sleeping, eating or at work. You may say that this is normal behaviour, but, I noticed a gradual hardening of the skin on my thumbs and fingers. Soon the sensation had left the tips of my fingers and thumbs, due to pressing too hard to take the corners tigher and accelerate faster. When my brothers came back from boarding school, (in mid December) I put the console back in the box and hid it, as I was giving it to them for Christmas. However, my fingers were still hard and sore right until Christmas Day, and have only now stopped hurting. This seems to be a good reason to obey the warnings that you shopuld take a five minute break in each hour of gameplay, at least to stop your fingers from hurting!

I guess they are getting soft thumbed. The only warning that the PS2 didn't come with that I thought it should have was "Watch for flying controllers, could cause serious damage or injury.

I was playing SSX Tricky and was about to nail a killer score when my Playstation 2 jumped up, stuck its middle finger at me and jumped out of the window. It proceeded to leg it down the road, where it was run over by a car.

The moral: have bars on your windows.

Tomorrow I'll tell you how to resist buying Army Men games. For now kiddies, sleep tight.

I once had a 15 hour Wipeout 2097 link up on PSone round a friends house. We started just before lunch, and finished about 3am. There were three of us, so it wasn`t quite so bad, and gave us time to eat and stuff, but by the end of it, my thumbs had disintegrated. The only plus point was that I`d memorised each of the phantom courses, making it easy to win.

Yesterday, I spent 6 hours on pro evo and at the end of that my left hand thumb was aching so much that it actually took until this morning to stop.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
