I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but when i bought my PS2 (in early November) along with a memory card and GT3, I started playing every hour I wasn't sleeping, eating or at work. You may say that this is normal behaviour, but, I noticed a gradual hardening of the skin on my thumbs and fingers. Soon the sensation had left the tips of my fingers and thumbs, due to pressing too hard to take the corners tigher and accelerate faster. When my brothers came back from boarding school, (in mid December) I put the console back in the box and hid it, as I was giving it to them for Christmas. However, my fingers were still hard and sore right until Christmas Day, and have only now stopped hurting. This seems to be a good reason to obey the warnings that you shopuld take a five minute break in each hour of gameplay, at least to stop your fingers from hurting!

Never had a problem with driving games. PLayed enough endurance races on GT3, and was fine. Only really pressing two buttons.

Pro evo is the game which does me in. larger combinations of buttons with more button pressing and combinations.

Either way, it aint perfect.

Perfect would mean that it fits everyone nicely.

PLay Pro evo for 5 hours and say your thumbs dont hurt.

well me and about 30 of my mates use our ps2's regularly and haven't experienced any of those wimpy problems *oh my ickle wickle thumbs ache* plus i've used a ps1 pad for the last 5 years again no problems. perhaps their squeezing onto the pads like a vice and that's why it's hurting or for the fact their just little wussies who'd get hurt if a feather fell on them or complain when they break a nail very nasty that

If you don't like Sony's pad, get a third party one!
