I suspect someone's just jumping the gun here. Perhaps Sony are looking to manufacture some DevKits so that upon release in 2 or so years time, there'll be a whole load of top class games.

Because - according to a recent Official PS2 mag - Toshiba have begun commercial production of the Cell processor.
