I was just wondering, for thoughs of you who havent got xbox live.

Signed up on the Xbox.com, think it was about late June early July when I actually got Broadband installed. They said that I would know by the end of September if I was successful. I didnt hear anything but then on November 1st I got a email saying about Beta testing. They had delayed testing til November so Beta testers only got there kit around the 11th of November. Still we got a free clear orange memory card and the nice carry case. Only had a few weeks before you could actually get the kit off Xbox.com, but we did get the extras and for the same price as the Test drive people :).

When will I get Xbox Live?

Not for a good while. By that I mean years probably.

First I need to get a PC with and ethernet port and once which can accept Broadband. This one i'm using is so old, its out of the question.

how did you get to be a beta tester adrian?

It's not about winning and losing though, I've found that most people are there just to play games, you don't hear people desperately wanting to win, or moaning about losing. It's fun.

I have a little interest in Xbox Live and online gaming in general.
It all seems to be about one thing: competition. Winning and losing. I don't play games for these reasons.

Or to have been lucky enough to be Beta testers like me and a few others on these forums :).

Unfortunately i live in a very backwards area, which is very remote...almost as remote as the chance of ever getting broadband within 10 miles of my house!!!!
Therefore I will not be getting XBL for a very long time!!!
Not much motre to say really, other than....a**e!

I didn't think I WAS in a broadband area... but yesterday I found out that I am... so I will eventually get X-Box Live. It's just a matter of when I can afford it and whether I will actually use it enough; getting my money's worth. I'll probably wait a while and see what online games I fancy before I make a final decision.
