Remember Rollercoaster Tycoon I? Microprose's last great game before they were bought out by Infogrames. Then other companies started making the tycoon games, and the quality went down. I remember a time, when I used to sit at my pentium 120, in the early 90s, and play Railroad tycoon. I kept playing it till last year. I also had the deluxe version, Civilisation, Colonisation and many other great games made by Sid Meier, Bruce Shelley and Max 'Maximum' Remington. Then many years and games Micropose was brought by Infogrames, and Monopoly tycoon was average. Sid Meier's Simgolf was quite good. But nothing great. Then others started making tycoon games. In fury, I sacraficed my pet Marmot, Brian, in honour. Oil tycoon was great, but others failed. Railroad Tycoon was made 'under supervision' of Maximum, Shelly and Meier. The great men of MPS labs were now lower. Sid Meier and Microprose are no longer together- a perfect pairing are gone. If Microprose had not been sold......

RIP.

I wasn't so keen on Terror From The Deep. The tech tree was a complete mess, and there was little or no cover anywhere, and theere wasn't really any variety in the scenery. It was far, far more difficult than the original (even when correctly patched so the difficulty settings worked) which was good, but it just didn't have quite the same feel to it.

What would have been good, is a combination of the two - so you could shoot down a ship over land or sea, and still attempt a manual investigation.

i had a microprose game once but i lent it out and lost contact with the person i lent it to (wont go into that with much detail). it was grand prix manager 2. it was chunky and you couldnt play yourself but it was addictive, watching the little blobs race around the track, and upgrading the cars by stealing technology from other companies. LOL got caught most times but it was cool seeing "Ferrari fined for security breach" or sumthin like dat......

Never had Pizza Tycoon- wouldn't work on my Pentium 120 for some reason, or any other computer I've had, come to think of it.
