In a shock move sure to cause a large stir in the games industry, Nintendo today announced a new range of Gamecubes. This follows the recent price reductions in stores around the country. The new style Gamecubes, modelled on the world famous “Inspector Gadget” formula will perform multiple tasks, much more than just playing games. A leading games journalist says that this may be Nintendo’s answer to the critics who say the Gamecube is inferior because it “only plays games, and not DVDs etc.”

Nintendo plan on going much further than this though. To make the Gamecube a multi-functional Multimedia playing device Nintendo is planning to give it a wealth of features, including:

DVD Playing capability

CD Playing capability

Gadget arms – for handing over your controller to you

Gadget legs – for walking over to you when you want to put in a different game

Gadget Mallet – the ‘cube will now protect you from anyone who tries to stop you playing it

Gadget Speakers – Instead of using surround sound, the Gamecube will now simply use one speaker (attached to it) that runs around the player, to give the effect of surround sound.

Gadget Plastic – the Gamecube will use a special “Chameleon case” that changes to whatever colour you want it to.

Gadget oven – Gamecube will feature a fully functional oven, should you wish to cook while playing, you won’t even have to do anything, the gadget arms can!

Gadget toaster – similar to the gadget oven, except it makes toast for you.

A multitude of other features are yet to be announced, says an industry leading magazine.

This new version Gamecube means that Nintendo have beaten both Microsoft and Sony to creating the first home multimedia system.

Sony & Microsoft are yet to comment on this surprise announcement by Nintendo, but are going to have to come up with their own machine to counter this, and fast.

News just in!!!!

Nintendo has announced a ground-breaking new feature that will be included in the Gadget Gamecube!!!

Although backwards compatibility has been done in consoles before Nintendo have taken this a step further with…..

Forwards compatibility!!

It hasn’t fully been explained how this amazing feature will work, but Nintendo assures us that the Gadget Gamecube will play ALL games from any console, past, present, and future.

This move is sure to put Nintendo back in the lead position in the industry because, after all, now a Gamecube is without a doubt, all anyone will need!!

A spokesperson for Nintedo said:

“We have taken into account the amount of Fanboy rants we have seen throughout the internet, magazines, and tapped phone calls throughout the world. After careful studies, and taking the factors found into deep consideration, the two main arguments people seemed to have against our console were

1) That it was for kids, and didn’t have grown up games like other consoles
2) That it wasn’t “multimedia,” and only played games

We now think our new “Gadget Gamecube” range will settle this, as we have ALL the other consoles games, and it features both gaming, DVD playing, and cooking functionality.

The Gadget Gamecube is, my friends, quite literally – The Future.”

No one is quite aware of the legalities of these matters, and whether Nintendo is actually allowed to do this (play other consoles games) but one thing is for sure, the “console war” just got a lot more interesting.

Gadget Gamecube is expected to retail at approximately £599.99

The actual post was averagely funny, but Patchs reaction to it was hilarious.

know?!?!?!?

And your uncle the games tester?? You're just like the people who "know someone who makes the drivers for ATI and even they think they're crap" - ie. the nVidia fanboys.

You started a topic about it and didn't mention that you "knew" it was fake until I pointed it out.

That was a very believable charade you had going....

This was obviously a lot more convincing than I thought, considering Patch thought it was real.
